The beautiful all-suite Silver Cloud was the inaugural vessel for Silversea Cruises. As such, this luxurious ship epitomizes everything that is Silversea. An intimate (16,800 ton) cruise ship, the 296-guest Silver Cloud cruises throughout the world. Returning guests often refer to this cruise ship as their own private yacht, their home away from home.

All of the accommodations aboard Silver Cloud are ocean view suites, most of which have a veranda. The suites aboard this ship are quite spacious, and are well appointed with a variety of fantastic in-suite amenities, including a bar that is replenished throughout the cruise. All guests sailing on a Silver Cloud cruise benefit from the service and attention of a butler, and with nearly one crew member for each passenger, Silversea is able to provide exemplary service. In fact, The Leading Hotel Schools of the World provides training for Silversea's staff members.

The open-seating main dining venue aboard Silver Cloud, The Restaurant, has gourmet menus with signature dishes that have been prepared exclusively for Silversea by Relais & Cháteaux. La Terrazza is a casual á la carte venue that is open for a buffet-style breakfast and lunch, with indoor or al fresco dining on the outdoor terrace. Seating is limited at La Terrazza for dinner, so reservations are recommended. 24-hour room service is a convenient option that's available to all guests.

Following an extensive refurbishment in 2017, Silver Cloud with be re-outfitted as the most luxurious ice class vessel in expedition cruising. An ice-strengthened hull will allow her to easily maneuver ice flows, while sweeping decks and panoramic views will ensure that sights like breaching whales or cavorting penguins are always within sight. Silver Cloud's guest capacity will also be limited to a maximum of 200, allowing more shore accessibility when sailing in polar waters.

A 2012 refurbishment included a fresh new interior look with artwork, carpeting, and wall treatments. Suites received brand new furnishings to modernize the already luxurious rooms. In addition a new restaurant was added: The Grill allows guests to enjoy open-air dining, all while cooking their own meats and fish over volcanic rocks.
